Dear Hawaii Trip Attendees,
I have received several questions about trip cancellations and how the trip insurance will cover any losses. I wanted to let you know the policies for cancellation and any possible refunds moving forward if you cancel or if the trip gets cancelled between now and July 1st.
Up until July 1st, every payment is 100% refundable. By July 1st, each person traveling as a part of the trip will need to purchase travel insurance individually (link and more information to come). This insurance will cover each participant up to 75% of the trip cost if you should “Cancel For Any Reason” (including any COVID-19 reasons). As of now, this trip insurance will be at a cost of $141 per participant and will need to be purchased by everyone going on the trip (this is not optional and you will be cancelled from the trip if proof of purchase of this insurance is not received by July 1st). The trip insurance is required by the district. There is no way for us to include this in the trip price as each individual must provide their own personalized information for each individual policy. As stated, we will have a procedure in place before July 1st for everyone going on the trip to purchase this insurance. We will also need to verify at that time that you have purchased the insurance in order for you to continue on the trip. I hope this answers everyone’s questions moving forward. We will be proceeding as if the trip is still on until we hear differently.
Please also remember that the next Hawaii Trip payment of $825 is due on April 30th. With the previously paid deposit, your total trip payments by April 30th should be $1125. You may pay by check (payable to Legacy Band Boosters) or via PayPal through your Charms account (2.4% service fee applies).
