Freshman Fundamentals
There’s a lot to keep up with! Subscribe to the band calendar here: https://legacybands.org/calendar/. As an event gets closer, you can often click on the calendar entry to see a detailed itinerary. I recommend having your student also subscribe so they can develop the skill of managing their schedule as they accumulate more high school responsibilities!
There were questions at the new parent meeting about how to get started with helping out. Sign up geniuses will start to come out as they are ready for help making and serving meals, pushing pit (getting the equipment onto and off the field), loading and unloading the truck (“Bigger Blue”), and chaperoning. There will be additional opportunities for building props, fitting uniforms, sewing costumes, and more. Stay tuned to the weekly email for these opportunities to help out, see your kids in action, and connect with this community! We are so happy to have you! If you have any special talents you feel would benefit the band, please reach out! CDL drivers always wanted!

Please reach out with any questions as they come up at freshmen@legacybands.com or 512-796-6919 (Carla).
Fundraising Updates:
Thank you to everyone that signed up for the Aramark fundraising opportunity. We have submitted our paperwork and list of interested volunteers and we are currently waiting for them to reach out for consent to run background checks. After those are completed, you will need to complete the ServSafe training (short online training). We will then be given our venue assignments and signups will be sent out. If you are interested in this opportunity and have not signed up please use the link below to add your name to the list:

*Please note that volunteers must be atleast 18 years old.
Secondly, Davis Farms reached out to us this week. The peaches are way ahead of schedule due to our mild winter so this will move our sales and delivery up. As of now, it looks like we are looking at delivery around the last week of July. I will send out sales info soon.
Please direct any questions to: fundraising@legacybands.org
Dine to Donate:
**Taco Tuesday/First Day of Mini Camp/Summer Break! So many reasons to celebrate! **
**Next Tuesday, May 26th, is our Dine to Donate at 3 Margaritas at 120th and Main in Broomfield from 4-10pm. Mention Legacy Band and we will get 15% of the proceeds. **

Raise Right:
Link your credit card on Raise Right under “local dining” in the app to get another 5% back to yourband account. (Use your physical card, not Apple Pay)
It does not work with Apple Cards or Apple Pay. Apple does not reveal the real card number to card owners and the digital card number for Apple Pay doesn’t work with it because it’s a different card number than the real card number.

Measurements for the new uniforms will occur during the May band camp. If you/your child will not be in attendance for May camp please email uniforms@legacyband.org to arrange another time.
