7/27 – MANDATORY CAMP Begins
5/26 – From 1PM-3PM Leadership Team will help transfer marching uniforms to the cafeteria and concert uniforms down under the stage. This will help the uniform team prepare for fittings. I would also like to organize everything under the stage. It is unorganized and needs to be tended to. We need a couple of guard/percussion parents to help monitor this, as winter guard and winter percussion have had the most access to this area. We can pull all instruments out into the orchestra pit as we reorganize everything else in the storage area.
5/27 – Uniform/top fittings begin today. Leadership Team will be tasked with emptying the storage containers. If the weather is bad we will push this to Thursday, and the LT will clean the band room instead. Everything from the containers needs to be either brought to the school’s loading dock for district removal, or put on stage in the auditorium for safe keeping. The containers will be moved next week for construction and relocated at a later date.
5/28 – Uniform/top fittings continue today. Leadership Team will be tasked with either the band room or the storage containers. All instruments need to be moved onto the stage in the auditorium so that the floors can be cleaned. This includes everything on the floors in the guard and percussion rooms, as well as the practice rooms. All trophy shelves will be dusted as well.

**If you have never been to Drums Along the Rockies or have never been part of a marching band, this event will definitely get you excited for our upcoming marching season! You will get to see some of the best drum corps around! If you’re anything like me when I was a freshman parent, when I heard “drum corps”, I was thinking it was only percussion, but I was wrong. LEGACY BAND CAR SHOW
Attention all you car lovers and enthusiasts: The car show committee can use your help! We are in the midst of planning our first ever car show fundraiser event that will be held st the Legacy high school parking lot on July 12. Our next planning meeting will be at Frolic Brewery this Wednesday, May 27 at 6 PM. We would love for you to be a part of this wonderful event and help make it a success!

Uniform Fittings Volunteers Needed This Week!
Uniform fittings are scheduled for this Wednesday, 5/27 & Thursday, 5/28.
We will be measuring students for new concert shirts that need to be ordered soon, as well as fitting regular marching uniforms. In previous years, fittings were done during Mandatory Band Camp at the end of July, but this year we are completing them early to prepare for several summer events we’ve been invited to participate in. We have approximately 150 students to fit over the course of two days, so we could really use YOUR help. **No tailoring or sewing experience is necessary! **But it may be utilized if you have it.

Have a GREAT MAY CAMP!
