8:00AM Rehearsal ON TURF FIELD
11:30AM Lunch served/Pack Truck
12:30PM Pass out uniforms
12:45PM Chaperone Meeting with Mr. Tafoya
1:00PM Load buses/Take attendance
1:15PM Depart for Adams Twelve 5 Star Stadium
As we get close to the Stadium, please tell the students to begin getting dressed.
1:45PM Arrive at 5 Star Stadium
- BAND BUSES WILL PARK IN THORNTON HIGH SCHOOL
PARKING LOT IN FRONT OF THE EAST SIDE OF THE
SCHOOL, ALONG THE CURVED DRIVE.
1:50PM Unload and allow students to use the restroom - Percussion and Color Guard can be let off to find the truck and
start unloading – we need a chaperone to go with them.
2:55 – 3:25PM Begin Body warm-up at Site “B”
- Front Ensemble moves to warm up at Pit Warm-Up Site “A”
3:25 – 3:30PM End of Body warm-up and move to Music warm-up
- Front Ensemble Begins Warm-Up at Site “B” 3:15-3:45PM
3:30 – 4:00PM Music Warm-up at WARM-UP SITE “B”
- We need to have water at the Warm-up site so they can get a
drink before we go to the field. - There will be water at the Music warm-up area, but we should
take extra.
3:45 – 4:00PM Front Ensemble moves to Entrance of Stadium
4:05PM Everyone standing at Entrance to Stadium, Band moves to “On Deck” position
4:15PM Preliminary Performance in Exhibition
4:30PM End of Prelims Exhibition Performance
4:45PM Prelims Results
- After our preliminary performance we will stand off to the side on
the Track to watch Prelim results – OUR DRUM MAJORS DO
NOT PARTICIPATE
5:00PM Move back to the buses to get changed
- Front Ensemble will head to the truck and leave the equipment at
the truck – we need a chaperone to go with them and get them
back to the buses. - We need to get the students WATER at this point.
5:30PM Walk to Thornton Middle School. We will enter their Cafeteria to have dinner.
5:40PM Approximate Dinner Time
5:50PM Mr. Tafoya and the Staff will talk to the band about Judge comments and how to improve their Finals Show
6:00PM Move to the Stadium Entrance to watch the 6:15 (if possible) and
6:30 (definitely watch) bands in Finals
6:45PM Move back to the buses and get into Uniform
7:15PM Move to Body Warm Up Site “A”
7:40 – 8:10PM Begin Body warm-up at Site “A”
- Front Ensemble moves to warm up at Warm-Up Site “A”
8:00 – 8:30PM
8:10 – 8:15PM End of Body warm-up and move to Music warm-up
- Front Ensemble at Warm-Up at Site “A”
8:15 – 8:45PM Music Warm-up at WARM-UP SITE “A”
- We need to have water at the Warm-up site so they can get

8:30 – 8:50PM Front Ensemble moves to Entrance of Stadium
8:50PM Everyone standing at Entrance to Stadium, Band moves to “On Deck” position
9:00PM Finals Performance in Exhibition
9:15PM After our Finals Exhibition Performance, we will stand off to the side on the track and watch the Final Results. Props and Front Ensemble equipment need to go to the truck – OUR DRUM MAJORS WILL NOT PARTICIPATE in retreat.
9:30PM Finals Awards
9:45PM Load Truck and have students put instruments on buses
10:30PM Depart for Legacy
11:00PM Approximate return to Legacy High School
- Please make sure students clean up the buses
- Also, please take a walk through of the bus after the students get off at the end of the night to see if they forgot anything and cleaned up after themselves.
- Also, remind the students that they need to HANG UP THEIR UNIFORMS CORRECTLY AND THEY WILL HAVE TO CHECK OUT BEFORE LEAVING.
- PLEASE GIVE YOUR ATTENDANCE FORMS TO THE LEAD CHAPERONE who will give them to Mr. Tafoya to put on my desk.
- Have students call for rides once the buses pull out of Thornton HS.
