The September Board Meeting scheduled for September 14th is being pushed back slightly to 6:30 to allow for everyone to attend the judging presentation- which is being adjusted to 5:30.

- Thank you for a great first week of performances, and middle school band night, and Channel 4 in the school, and uniform fittings, and costume building, and all the things!
- The drill is all on the field, and we completed our first run through last week!
- Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Winds students need to bring concert instruments every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from now on. Thursday sectionals and Fridays will focus on marching music for the time being. One student from WE and SW will be asked to perform audition music on their concert horns during sectionals, but that will be assigned the week prior.
- Students have new parts for the marching show. The edit sheet is uploaded to Schoology, and students should access that document to see what has been edited.
- Students should bring knee pads to every marching practice
The weather continues to be very HOT and sunny (and is supposed to be in the 80’s & 90’s this week, too). It is important that students remember to bring large water bottles and sunscreen for after school practices and on Saturdays
Meal Plan

Uniforms
Dinkles are here! If you have PAID for them they are labeled and in the band room, please grab asap. If you have not paid for them, get your payment in asap. Any dinkles paid for this week will be placed in the band room by Saturday.
If for any reason you did not order them and need some feel free to reach out as we do have a few additional new Dinkle’s that could be sold. Also, if for any reason the Dinkles you ordered no longer fit, please keep all tags on and reach out as we might have a different size available. Once tags are off, they are yours to keep and cannot be exchanged

Show Shirts, Senior Shirts and Spirit Wear
Does your student have a band polo (that fits!)?? Do you have a parent polo? Do you have all of your band spirit wear ready for the marching season? Do you want an extra show shirt to support the band? Now is the time!! The order window is open for polos, decals, spirit wear and show shirts!
Show Shirts are different this year!
Your student already has a show shirt on order as part of the band bundle. They will be delivered directly to your student before the first competition. The student shirt is compression-style and is part of their uniform.
If you would like to order an additional show shirt for your student to wear at other times, this is the time. Shirts ordered through Custom Colorado are the standard cotton t-shirts (NOT compression). They are a great way to support your student and the show. Parents and other supporters of the band are encouraged to order these shirts! They’ll be great for Grand Nationals, as well. Order your Divisi shirt through the following link:

Guard needs some volunteers!
Thank you to those of you who signed up for some of our Color Guard Volunteer positions this week! We couldn’t do this without you and we’re so appreciative!! We are still looking for Color Guard Supporters for a couple of positions for the season.
*Fall Uniform Hemming/Repair Volunteers – Assist with uniform fittings when the new uniforms arrive, help make minor alterations/hemming, and assist with sewing repairs throughout the season. Sewing skills and equipment are needed.
*One more Winter Guard Festival Assistant – Assist Lesley Koehler with managing the details of the RMCGA Winter Guard Festival that will be held in the Spring. If Legacy is selected to host a festival in 2027, the preparations will start now.
CDL Class A drivers still needed for certain dates
Do you or someone you know have a Class A CDL?
We are still looking for semi-truck drivers to fill out our schedule to pull “Blue”, our 53’ equipment trailer, to marching competitions and football games. And having a roster of back-up drivers means that we can still get the band equipment to these events in case of scheduling conflicts.
In particular, we still do not have any tentative drivers for:
- Oct. 2 (Fri.) Homecoming football game
- Oct. 24 (Sat.) State (Semi-finals and Finals)
There are some other dates that we haven’t completely confirmed drivers for so please feel free to reach out about any availability.

If you would like any physical gift cards this month please get your orders in by Thursday 9/10 as I will be placing the order on Friday.
Our dine to donate is next Wednesday, September 16th, at Old Santa Fe Grill at Dillon and McCaslin from 4-10 pm. Join us to raise 25% for this year’s show!
