Good morning, all,
Please see below for the weekly update:
Thanks to all the volunteers that helped with Middle School Night.
We had 120 Middle School kids at the football game !
From Dr. Ebert:
Important dates:

9/3 MB Practice 3:30-7PM
9/8 MB Practice 3:30-7PM
9/10 9 NEWS LIVE BROADCAST IN THE AM (call time TBD); MB Practice 3:30-7PM
9/12 MB Practice 8AM-3PM
- Thank you for a great first week of performances, and middle school band night, and Channel 4 in the school, and uniform fittings, and costume building, and all the things!
- The drill is all on the field, and we should be able to do our first full run before Labor Day weekend!
- Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Winds students need to bring concert instruments every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from now on. Thursday sectionals and Fridays will focus on marching music for the time being. One student from WE and SW will be asked to perform audition music on their concert horns during sectionals, but that will be assigned the week prior.
- Students have new parts for the marching show. The edit sheet is uploaded to Schoology, and students should access that document to see what has been edited.
- Students should bring knee pads to every marching practice.

Action required:
Please remember to pay your Marching Band Bundle if you haven’t done so yet. There are still 43 students who haven’t paid it in full. You can pay through CutTime, Zelle (), or check made out to Legacy Band Boosters and placed in the band box located in the band room.
CutTime accounts were also charged for those students who ordered dinkles and guard jacket/pants.
Dinkles will arrive next week and have been charged to your CutTime account if you ordered a pair. The final cost is $44. Dinkles will not be distributed until payment has been made in full.
The Color Guard needs a few volunteers for season-long positions:
Fall Uniform Laundry Volunteer – Collect uniforms after performances and wash them (instructions will be provided, it’s generally about two loads on a gentle cycle), hang them to dry, and return them to the garment bags and to the students at the next practice.
Fall Uniform Hemming/Repair Volunteers – Assist with uniform fittings when the new uniforms arrive, help make minor alterations/hemming, and assist with sewing repairs throughout the season. Sewing skills and equipment are needed.
Winter Guard Festival Assistants – Assist Lesley Koehler with managing the details of the RMCGA Winter Guard Festival that will be held in the Spring. If Legacy is selected to host a festival in 2027, the preparations will start now. We would like at least one of these volunteers to be a supporter of a student who is a freshman or sophomore this year (or 8th grader!).
Color Guard Support Team – you received an email yesterday requesting that you complete a questionnaire regarding your Color Guard team member. Please do this by September 5. If you did not receive the questionnaire, please reach out to Colet ().
**Legacy Marching Festival **
Please consider adding a shift to help us fill all roles! Thank you so much! We request at least 2 shifts per family please!

CDL Class A drivers still needed for certain dates
Do you or someone you know have a Class A CDL?
We are still looking for semi-truck drivers to pull “Blue”, our 53’ equipment trailer, to marching competitions and football games. And having a roster of back-up drivers means that we can still get the band equipment to these events in case of scheduling conflicts.
For schedule information or any questions, please reach out directly to Jess Odum (), or any other booster board member. Thanks!
